Description

The Merkin or Del Brown's Crab fly is probably the most popular crab pattern today and with it Del has caught more than 260 permit. It is also effective on many other species. There is a cream colored crab called a ghost crab that both permit and bonefish seem to relish and this is its imitation. We could'nt leave this fly alone. We tie in a small amount pale-tan Marabou to give that pulse like motion when stripped and pink thread to create a contrast. This fly come is 1/0 with lead eyes. This fly can be tied in any size from 4-3/0 just send us an e-mail. All flies are fine tuned for material selection and fly construction to produce a fly that will give the correct action in the water to induce a strike. All flies are made with ultra premium materials and our flies are tied on Owner Aki or Gamakatsu hooks.
